Blanca Ceballos moved from Michoacan, Mexico at the age of 17 to East Palo Alto (EPA). She works at Nuestra Casa, a non-profit organization, and has assisted with numerous community-based projects, including Canopy’s Branching Out program in EPA, Bell Haven, and North Fair Oaks. In addition to her work, she also manages three apartment buildings. Blanca is a wife and a mother of a 20-year-old daughter and a 13-year-old son. In her free time, she volunteers for other organizations. Blanca has received certifications in Mental Health, Vision y Compromiso Promotoras (PTFC), Vision y Compromiso Advocacy and Leadership, Latina Emprendedora (YACANEX), and as a makeup artist. Currently, she is taking classes in Criminology and how to create your own business. Blanca’s love for her community and family is evident in her advocacy towards public health, self-care, and economic development.
