Bryanna Whitney
Public Access Project Manager
Peninsula Open Space Trust (POST)
Bryanna currently serves as the Public Access Project Manager at the Peninsula Open Space Trust (POST), a local land trust that is creating a network of protected lands where people and nature connect and thrive. Bryanna is focused on improving equitable access to our region’s unique natural places through regional trail development as well as advocacy and investment in community green spaces along these corridors.
Prior to working at POST, Bryanna worked in environmental education for nearly a decade, building students’ relationships with nature through immersive programming in our area’s parks and open spaces and supportive roles in local nonprofits. She also held multiple roles at the San Mateo Resource Conservation District (RCD) supporting local farms, managing wildlife habitat restoration projects, and connecting communities to conservation.
Bryanna was born in the North Bay where she was raised in a low-income housing project and cultivated a love for the nearby rolling hills and oak lands. She studied Sustainable Development in Costa Rica and eventually earned her degree in Environmental Studies and Education from the University of California at Santa Cruz.
