JoAnn is a mother, a wife, and an imperfect environmentalist. She graduated from San Jose State University, earning her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies, with a minor in Public Health, in 2022. JoAnn is passionate about work that aims to improve the lives of historically underserved populations. Her education around inequitable access to parks and other natural spaces has created what she expects will be a lifelong journey to bridge this gap in access. JoAnn works full time as a community organizer for Puente de la Costa Sur. Her work primarily focuses on farmworker populations living and working in Pescadero. In her free time, JoAnn enjoys spending time outdoors, either surrounded by trees or near a body of water. She shares her home with her human family members as well as with two cats and one dog.
