Rev. Deborah Lewis-Virges currently serves as Pastor of Saint Mark AME Zion Church in East Palo Alto where she is recognized as the Community Pastor. She is an ordained Elder and an anointed and prophetic preacher committed to Servant Leadership, Earth Care and Kingdom Building.

She is a Core member of the Fellowship of Faith, Pastors Network 101 and Count Us In. She is a committed environmental justice and social justice advocate and is an active and engaged voice in elevating the need to fight homelessness, mass incarceration, racial inequality, and judicial reform. She serves as chair for the Transportation and Public Works Commission in The City of EPA where she also serves on the Climate Change Community Team and the Community Safety Team.

She holds a Master of Divinity Degree from Fuller Theological Seminary and completed her undergraduate studies at Wayne State University where she co-majored in Political Science and Communications with an emphasis in African-American Studies.

She is married to her partner in life and ministry, Clyde Virges and together they have 2 adult children, Tyree Lewis and Jacob Virges.
