Regional Shoreline Adaptation Plan Implementation Workshop
11:15am - Cypress Room
Join this workshop to learn about the draft Regional Shoreline Adaptation Plan (RSAP), now available for public comment. The RSAP is a region-wide plan for the Bay shoreline that guides the creation of coordinated, locally-planned sea level rise adaptation actions that work together to meet regional goals. Under the California Legislature's SB 272, passed in 2023, local jurisdictions in the Bay Area will be required to create local adaptation plans using the RSAP Guidelines. Projects and strategies contained within approved plans will be prioritized for State funding. The San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission (BCDC) is the regional agency responsible for creating and overseeing the implementation of the RSAP. BCDC is finalizing the RSAP by the end of the year to have it ready for implementation across the Bay Area. Attend this workshop led by BCDC staff and local government officials and learn more about the Guidelines and how they can be implemented in San Mateo County.
